This cheeky number was bought from The British Heart Foundation for £10 (after a little haggle) and I’m hoping I can get a profit from it.
It’s pretty ugly so I’ve taken it apart and I hope to use pretty much everything in other projects.
Ok, the top half has been chopped off. I’m going to keep the brass fittings and hooks because they are pretty cool. This section is terribly brittle and a lot of the wood has split so after a good sand I’ll take the bottom off and use that wood for the shelf at the top.
It also needs a lot of glue and some strong nails to reinforce it.
There we have it so far. The wood is looking smooth and that horrible varnish has gone.
I will try and work on it tonight.
